Not me but my brother in law did using one of those “we will purchase any vehicle” establishments.

He entered the details online as accurately and truthfully as he could but when he got there they tried to haggle him down with additional “faults” so be prepared for that, just in case like

Do you mean 'autotrader' (other sites are available, or one of the 'webuyanycarforfuckall' sites ? Because they pay fuck all so only worth it if you're truly desperate.

i had a letter saying that my car i brought last year (no finance) is worth more now than when i brought it theres a real shortage of good second hand cars ..

arent alot of the online car sites struggling now a couple have gone bust this week i think

I’ve got a mate in the car trade and he’s got one of those webuycars type of websites.

He told me that he manages to buy nicer cars and pay more money than that Phillip Schofield one as they just buy to put them back through auction

Yes, 1 month ago. I bought my new car from Cazoo and they gave me £1000 more in part exchange for my car than I actually paid for it. Very vey impressed with Cazoo, and the awesome goody bag you get with the car is a bonus.

They work well with trade ins. But also bear in mind the ticket price will have been bumped up to enable them to appear to give better deals on your existing car.

If you're car is a non-runner you're often likely to make more breaking it than selling for scrap if you have the time and storage space. Especially if older as it can be hard to source parts for some vehicles these days.

Either that or do what we have for one of ours. Keep a non running version to strip for parts and get a replacement identical model that still works.

It depends what sort of value your car is - I have sold cars via Autotrader and EBay before successfully- Facebook Marketplace is good if you limit it to local areas otherwise you get all the scams contacting you.

They work for up to £10k.

I worked for a company that collected for wbac any dent, scratch, mark, stone chip, or anything at all you dont put down will greatly reduce the price, i had one £6000 was quoted £1750 was the final offer

Funnily enough the car I bought was £1700 less than market average according to auto trader, then with the extra £1k I got for my car it was an amazing bargain and very easy to buy. There were some chips in the windscreen that were not noticeable when I picked the car up, yet they immediately arranged for a brand new windscreen on my driveway, no fuss.
