Solutions To Airport Chaos

With airports being low on staff caused by the pandemic and flights being cancelled, what would be your solution to this problem?

Mine would be for all airports to have flights only fly in or out for necessary reasons (like business for example) and all travel agents to only book holidays for next year onwards.

And those businesses would fold pretty quickly with that strategy.

Hire the staff back that they fired on medical grounds.

Not unless the staff they made redundant have found better jobs.

I get cold and pissed on here for free, I’m certainly not about to pay for the privilege!

My kids wanted a few days in centreparcs this year. After looking at the prices for the school holidays they’ve been swiftly told no! Can have two weeks all inclusive somewhere hot for less!

Really? Brexit caused covid, the lack of flights and people being made redundant. The hiring of people and the lengthy security checks coupled with overbooking of flights?

Wow

Then there would not be a travel industry next year..

This isn't true. Whilst the date has passed for leaving the EU (not Europe as people like to say) we haven't actually adopted a new travel system yet. The companies and rules are all going on the old system minus one or two 'privileges'.

Lol. I'm not going to ban anyone from anything. I'm just going to leave other people to deal with the mess

Oh you might not but I am.

I should also get a special sticker for flying through Covid and keeping airlines going so should either get to fly the plane if I want to or kick up to 6 people off so I can make a fort between the seats.

Use any management and shareholder bonuses/dividends until all the money saving fuckups that cause the customers problems, are sorted...should help push things along at a greater pace

Lol ok. I want a special sticker for radically reducing my carbon footprint by mostly staying within one square mile.

That is a good sticker. The planes I have are run on good vibes, probably the reason that none of the leave the ground when they land in the UK.

I’ve flown 6 times this year, luckily not had any issue. The last being just over a week ago. All from Manchester. It seems a bit hit and miss if there will be issues or not. It certainly won’t put me off
