Ashby De La Zouch

With everything going on quite simply would you say it is a bad idea to book a holiday abroad for September?

Yes.

There's loads of lovely places in the UK. Depends what you're looking for.

No.

It will be quieter when schools go back so airport chaos should be sorted by then

I hope so, we have a trip to Italy booked. If you’re concerned, either book a flight direct with the airline or a package! Just in case you need to claim a refund!

Don’t go on a plane.

Eurostar, coach trip, road trip, hitchhiking. All interesting alternatives to get abroad.

Chances of travel issues going to September are slim.

Book with insurance.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

It's not a bad idea, but I personally wouldn't do it. Too many variables that could ruin it.

Which is not to say I'm in hibernation, just planning differently.

It's a good idea. Go get some sun, it's so drab and grey here.

I’ve flown three times this year without any hassle at the airport. I’ll be going again next week and I’m not concerned. It’ll be fine

Good idea. The exercise will burn off the calories from its consumption.

You get your normal meals ? How

I

Don’t do the heat just can’t stand being hot

It’s just not for me esp sitting around a pool or bar when I’m surrounded by water and stunning scenery at home

The only thing I want to go abroad for is to visit a friend in Germany, but that will probably be next year now.

No. If you're prepared to be flexible and manage your prep, I think it's reasonable, as months untill then, to see things develop

Not a bad idea to go in September, an even better idea is one of the Canary islands last two weeks of November, to the first two in December when they are giving holidays away at knock down prices, and you come home for Christmas with a tan that's going to be the envy of everyone.

"Hot sun and foreign food not for me thank you "

You could class most of the popular food eaten in U.K. as “foreign”.

Manchester (she/her)

September probably safer than earlier, slightly less crowds. I've got the travel bug, but am probably going to pass on it for awhile.
