So, Icke was right about one famous person, who had already been named years and years before (and who authorities failed to stop/investigate). Icke is a complete fruit loop.

His BS has sent countless people down rabbit holes from whence they do not return. It's not funny or amusing to watch your mother descend frankly into insanity, as she buys more and more into the type of shite pedalled by Icke, et.al.

I feel very strongly about it for this reason.

Her conspiracy BS resulted in the deaths of two people from COVID. Her father (my Grandad) and her husband. I essentially don't have a mother anymore and I increasingly don't have a father either (dementia). It really isn't funny to see people absorbed by conspiracy theories, to the point where they become a danger to themselves and others. She is a clear danger to my children and to her other Grandchildren, as well as to others.

Many occurrences aren't necessarily created by those that people think via various conspiracy theories, but it's most definitely the case that a powerful minority will use any given event or catastrophe to exert control or reap financial reward.

Covid for sure. Some were far more efficient about lining their pockets than they were about protecting the population.

Brexit 100% - you just have to look at the patterns of mis-information that suddenly began circulating regarding fictitious future legislation and how quickly they spread.

Gun massacres in the US. I don't for one second believe the false flag BS but it's leapt upon by the gun lobby and sales always go up after an event.

Russia/Ukraine. There are some people and companies out there making big bucks right now, and governments too. The approach of a cut in fuel duty rather than VAT means no benefit to the public and significant benefit to the government coffers. Arms manufacturers are overjoyed.

Monkeypox. Now covid has fallen off the agenda the media are all over this like a rash (pun intended), stirring up fear and panic when little is justified. But it sells papers and advertising space online of course.....

Its not really a conspiracy theory as such as its pretty much common knowledge in the circles that matter but politics is very much manipulated to be a "2 horse race" with the same people with the vested interest (ie people with money who'd very much like it to stay that way) remaining in control simply "owning" both horses.

Its why in most elections deemed 'of interest' by the media to the UK (our own, USA, Continental countries etc... etc...) are ALWAYS between 2 main contenders. Ok, you get the 'also rans' to perpetuate the illusion but it always comes down to a binary choice.

When 9/11 truthers confronted Thomas Kean who was the head of the 9/11 Commison, he played down the significance of the Pakistan financing the lead hijacker ???? Kean said it only took a few hundred thousand Dollars here and there to finance the attacks.

WTF......tell that to the victims families....

The whole concept is terribly skewed by the nuttier ones though, it always was. Which of course allows for the accusation of "conspiracy theorist!"

Conspiracy community don’t need any goading or encouragement, they are well able to come up with a constant stream of drivel on their own.

If people want something to be deeply suspicious about, they will always find something, latching onto a suspicion here and a half-fact there.
