If you want to know why it's so common here's a couple of clues.

There's still a massive stigma attached to men stating they're bi in the real world and on here too. Many women and couples won't meet them so to reduce the likelihood of rejection they put straight. For some reason there's no stigma attached to bi women and nobody gives a fuck that they are, in fact it's often desirable.

Due to lack of success with women and couples some straight guys will take anything they can get so bi men chance their luck.

I've not been a paid member for long, and only today looked at who has viewed my profile since I joined. Now, before I do the numbers, I must add I do not care there there are no women on the list of who viewed me, because I am not looking to meet new women, and I've made zero profile effort. I'm not new knew, I know all about stealth mode, I'm in it, I was only showing that for generic new basic profile, that's who looked me that I am able to identify. I’ve met guys (straight, married) in bars etc randomly not hook ups who’ve said they fancy me but don’t know why snd even tell me it bothers them a bit but they’re confident enough to tell me. I don’t assume they are lying about their sexuality, nor assume they are less straight. I’ve had sexual experiences with women but I wouldn’t call myself bisexual because I can’t feel an emotional attraction to a woman.

When I get asked what pronoun I prefer I just tell people use whichever you feel comfortable with. I’m not into dictating to people how they see me, or the works.

I'm speaking as someone who's been openly bisexual since my late teens, which, coming of age in the era of section 28 wasn't exactly easy, I feel that the "fab straight" phenomena is actually doing us all a major disservice and in some way it could be argued setting the queer community back forty years.

The Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual activist in the seventies and eighties fought long and hard to gain visibility and acceptance and it seems as if many are still happy to stay in the closet. I'd say stand up and be counted, have some self respect and be proud of who you are xxx
