I am sure we all had one or two of those. What was yours? I had one when I left the pan on and forgot about it, nearly burnt the place down and took a couple of weeks to clean the place up. The other one was when I made a cake many moons ago and used salt instead of sugar

A cooking fat disaster! Say that when yer pissed.....

I was totally d*unk one night, fell asleep, suddenly woke up & thought "FUCK, THE FUCKIN' CHIPS & THE CHIP PAN, IT'LL BE ON FIRE!!!)

Guess what? Yup, it was!

I was running around like a scene from "Bottom." Having a Rick Mayall & Ade Edmonson moment... I put it in the sink

whilst it went "woosh" like a one foot Piper Alpha explosion plume as I tried to open the back door. It didn't half warp the paint work on the frame of the window near the sink! Thank god I had Victorian type high ceilings.

Eventually, I got the chip pan out on the concrete outside & put out with a damp tea towel.

I never did that again pissed!

Chopping scotch bonnett chillies, went to the bathroom to answer the call of nature. Forgot to wash hands first

Needed a very cold shower soon after
