Tomorrow in Thank You Day

Something I’ve not come across before but I’m all for positivity.

But it’s got me thinking about how do you show appreciation?

Do you thank people for their efforts?

Do you use the word appreciate?

Is it just in passing you drop a comment?

Or do you think your actions are enough to show appreciation?

Who in fab will you be saying thank you to tomorrow? (If at all)

It's always good manners to say please and thank you, so I do.

I was brought up proper.

Do you say them out of habit though? Rather than it being heart felt every time?

Yeah I do thank people. I thanked the consultant I saw last week for his time, he was quite taken aback . I have found myself saying thank you to the self checkout

Do you think saying it often gives you a more grounded appreciation of other people?

That’s the best feeling when you thank someone for basically doing their job and they are taken aback by it because other people for some reason just don’t.

Do you find you are treated better because you say thank you?

Always say thank you, manners cost nothing. I appreciate the most little things especially that people do without you wanting or asking.

Can I add … saying thank you and saying you appreciate a person is great as long as it’s genuine.

Do you think there is a difference in them though? Saying thank you can become habit and lose it’s impact?

Do you think this is born out of gratitude or just manners?

Yes I do …. I can’t explain it that well

Do you reserve different words for different people?

La la land

Yeah I say please and thank you, but to be honest it's not heartfelt it's habbit. For people I appreciate I will send a note to say thank you and how their actions have helped.

Not really because I've never not thanked people and I only thank them after they've done whatever it is

No. I like being able to create a smile on other people's faces, I have no idea of what their life is like and a thank you nearly always generates a smile for them
