You do however eliminate all of the exhaust emissions still, so overall there is a reduction in emissions Is that correct when all the factors to produce electric vehicles are taken into account " Yes… because when people start to make comparisons with how much pollution is created in making electric cars and producing electricity, they always conveniently forget to include the pollution created from MAKING petrol and diesel to fuel ICE cars… It takes massive amounts of energy and emissions just to get Petrol and Diesel in the first place, and that’s before you burn it in an engine I should know, Oil refining is my job | |||

So replacing ICE cars would mean a 40% and 27% reduction respectively | |||

And what about how the electricity is made to power electric cars? I worked for a vehicle manufacturer and it was proved that when these are taken into consideration, an electric car has to do 55000 miles before it is any 'cleaner' than a diesel equivalent. | |||
