When we moved to our current house, the previous owner left a photograph of herself dressed in a sort of hooker outfit with boots etc!!! Along with mothballs & an overwhelming stench of JPG perfume!!

Peacock

Neighbours cat

There's a floor to ceiling void 3ft x 2ft under the master bedroom floorboards, beside the chimney breast. Would open up the living room/dining room nicely but it's supporting.

It was the ironing in the background that we loved! Wouldn’t have been out of place on Fab!

Off topic slightly, but I worked for a well-known pub chain when I was at college and when I did the hourly toilet check, I found a Polaroid photo semi tucked in behind the soap dispenser. It was an elderly female customer naked except for a lead, collar and blindfold with a dogs chew toy in her mouth, slut written across her chest in lipstick. On the telly in the background was a porn flick

That photo stayed up behind the bar for months till the area manager made us take it down

I was out the kitchen when my cat just strutted in carrying a parrot .Luckily tho he hadn’t got around to playing with it and scaring it to death .We put it in a box in the quiet and found out who it belonged to thankfully it was a happy ending.

Can’t think of anything but my mate staying in a B&B for work came back to find a small boy sat on his bed watching TV and eating his biscuits!

The owner said his parents went out and I thought you wouldn’t mind!

Worthing

Closed curtains in dining room one evening. All quiet. Next day went in there to see a sparrow flying around. I think the local cat that visits me must have brought it in. Bird was probably stunned and awoke. Let it out just fine. Luckily had not pooped anywhere!

A long time dead rat under the flooring, dogs kept sniffing in that area..

Not as bad as a mate who found a live mills bomb and a two inch mortar flare, half the street evacuated as the bomb squad sorted it..

Pontefract

A sauna.

Seriously, we bought a house that is basically an old farm, complete with a number of outbuildings (old stables/farm buildings). After we had moved in and started to clear out the outbuildings, we found that one had been converted into a sauna. Yes, it does work, although the electricity supply originally run to it was nowhere near adequate, so I had it re-wired. Now works fine.
