Avatar and Top Gun, the only 2 films I've abandoned watching.

Avatar - We got up half-way through to get something to eat, and just couldn't be bothered to continue with it.

Top Gun - I've tried twice to watch it, but on both occasions I've had to stop after feeling sick. The synthetic emotion and testosterone overload is just too much for me.

Anything with Tom Cruise. He has the makings of a creep, that smarmy smile *bleurgh*.

All his films have the same plot line. He's a show off, he loses, he mopes around with a crisis of confidence, the comic relief/girlfriend tells him the truth about his character, he recovers, he goes back and with an epic battle/argument and wins? I might have missed a point or two but that pretty much sums it up?

I'm sure other actors have the same but they aren't as obvious.

"Anything with Tom Cruise. He has the makings of a creep, that smarmy smile *bleurgh*."

I used to see Tom Cruise as the perfect shiny-shoed all-American hero, in films like Top Gun and A Few Good Men. Then I saw Magnolia, in which he has a bit part as a slimy bastard. Ever since then I've been unable to see anything heroic about him in films, he just comes across as a slimy bastard.

In person, he seems like a nice bloke, from what I've seen of interviews.

I don't watch the Marvel films for the same reason. Tom cruise films, I am mostly neutral about them. I did love the new Topgun film. But yeah he has been mostly rehashing the same plots for quite sometime.
