Pleasure and Happiness?

What do those two words mean to y'all

Many, many years ago I went on a journey of spiritual awakening - I wanted to know the sum of all my parts, how I'd got from A to B.

Little did I know back then I'd that I'd travel to A. B and Z ha ha.

I remember borrowing a book by the Dalia Lama called The Art of Happiness. Reading through this book brought me a lot of inner peace which I needed, especially in that time of my life.

It was all about managing the mind and accepting that life would throw curve balls at me. This book was going to teach me on how to prepare for my failures as well as successes.

Teaching me the discipline of using my mind and 'comparing' what life might be like for others, who were less fortunate than myself?

So Pleasure or happiness?

Whenever I offered chocolate to the ladies they'd always hesitate and say, I shouldn't really?

I'd say go on, it'll bring you 'pleasure' but it may not make you happy...

Pleasure is fleeting.....nice whilst it lasts though.

And happiness......

What say you....

Indeed you can, I hope.

Its interesting how the Buddhists perceive things.

This afternoon I'd settle for pleasure however fleeting it maybe.
