Good morning all, how does this week find us?

I’ve not had a bad week, quite a bit of variation though. Last week I had a couple of days where I had no feelings of anxiety at all, the peace inside my head was incredible! I started a plan to be healthier, I’ve been eating better, started having cold showers and I did two workouts for the first time in months because I felt I could trust my muscles again. The last couple of days though I’ve been feeling emotionally more delicate, a bit tearful at times and am having the muscle sensations that trigger my health anxiety again. My hands seem to be particularly affected this time with strange muscle spasms and twitches. I haven’t had a propanalol in two weeks, I’ve been self-soothing, but I’m finding it difficult to do feeling like this. I’ll persevere though!

Still continued the eating better and cold showers but didn’t work out or get out for a walk all weekend, going to force myself to today though and try not to ruminate over my muscles (where the attention goes, the energy flows).

How are you feeling today? xx

Lots of love to you, OP.

I’m really crap. Can’t get over the way a partner betrayed my trust and keep replaying the moment in my head and can’t seem to escape it. Just feeling a bit sick of life tbh. Want a new job but feeling so shit from this thing that I can’t find the energy or strength. Also I’m avoiding people mostly out of shame. Which is making me anxious that I’m ruining my relationships but I can’t face talking.

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling . It sounds like you feel you’re in a bit of a negative cycle of things, that can feel really tough. Sending love

Well done to you OP

The week started well with a couple of nice socials but then ended with a trip to hospital, not the end of the week or start of this one I wanted.

While dark thoughts are not the reason I am here they may have contributed which just makes things worse.

After finally managing to get a doctors appointment a little better, my depression and anxiety are still about however I don't feel like I'm 'going mad'. Everything I'm going through is linked

There’s nothing wrong with validating how people are feeling though. I understand your comment comes from a good place but it’s dismissive of people’s suffering. This thread is a safe space for people to bring how they’re feeling and have that acknowledged without judgement

I’m glad you’re in a better place now than you were x

Thanks OP for posting today is a good day as I'm alive.

I am learning to accept wobbles are part of my life now.

Waking up and jumping out of bed allows me to stop the doom creeping in

Strange week for me, pretty ok emotionally and in my head but physically having a massive struggle with fatigue. Have had a couple of medical letters and have hospital appointments now pending which is not ideal for my headspace but I’m ok about it.

Work was super busy but good fun thankfully.

A friend has moved in for a couple of weeks whilst her new place gets painted.

Chatted with a great guy who messaged me though fab midweek and we spoke daily and arranged a meet which I postponed due to being so busy with my friend moving in and then arranged another one as I knew I really wanted to meet him and we both have busy weeks ahead so decided not to delay. I’m glad we met as we think we’ve found our fwb scenario!

Also had a great night with friends on Saturday and even had some alcohol

Sending positive vibes to all who need them x

I'd don't suffer with mental health issues but my heart goes out to the folks that do.

Hope you all find yourself in a better place now things are getting back to normal.

Good luck.

Moved away from home to care for my dad who is in the late stages of cancer.

He was doing OK until about 2 months ago when the tumor spread to his spine and he lost the use of his legs. He has seemed to become this frail old man almost over night.

He is now bed bound with only maybe 5/6 months left.

Living away from home is difficult but work is being super awesome about not being in the office, but the good will can only last so long.

The jubilee is fast approaching and the carers have requested that they only come in twice a day instead of four times a day with is making me very anxious.

I feel very lonely up here as I have not lived here for over 20 years and I don't know anyone anymore.

We are taking ot one day at a time.

Glad you are feeling ok and on the up, we all have good and bad days. Just have to solider on during the bad days and try to find something no matter how hard it seems to occupy your brain. Working out and eating healthier always helps but its hard. Social media and the doom and gloom news always gets me. But for the last few weeks have been in a good place. Thankyou for asking Op, its nice knowing there are good people out there. Talking is the way to go, so chin up smile and love yourself people xx

Goodness, what a difficult time for you on more than one level. I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I imagine the loneliness can compound the emotions around all of that.

I imagine if you’re uncomfortable with the idea of reduced carer visits then you’re within your rights to say that you’re sorry but you don’t think you can cope? Don’t be afraid to speak up if that’s what you need to do x

Struggling this Monday.

Had a few setbacks, disappointments and my self esteem is down. Lots of issues to sort with family health issues and imminent decisions about care to be made. Busy time and work and little time for anything outside of that little lot. Take some comfort out of listening to other peoples issues, mainly to just have conversation.

A week for big boy pants, sucking it up and marching on

Thanks as always Lou for posting. Sending much respect and support from afar for everyone needing it.

Had a couple of wobbles on Sunday thinking about my late brother and didn't really feel the big match vibe on Saturday, an occasion I should have loved but didn't enjoy. Work was good today though and I have a good weekend to look forward to.

See if you can see a different Doctor...unfortunately not all of them are up to speed on Mental Health issues

Go on Google & look for groups like MIND etc...there is help out there..
