"I have a handful of very close friends whom I see regularly, we go out, they all often dine here, we all talk regularly. What makes this circle special?…… There is respect for each other amongst all There is no envy or jealousy We all share similar taste /sense of humour We don’t talk about each other behind backs I am pleased to call everyone of them a close friend. " Perfect

"Very good have a lovely bestie i spent this afternoon with and yesterday met for lunch with work friends can't belive 4 hrs flew by and we still sat chating ! Another good friend is coming on holiday with me and my sister next week! Very important to me all of them x" Lovely

"I have 2 separate friend groups. One is my school friends, we’re all still really close and probably always will be. The other is my going out friends, the type you can call any day of the week and if you need a good night out at least 2-3 of them will be up for it." That’s lovely

"My closest friends are also part of my work family. They're the ones I see most of and one especially is a very close friend who I'd do anything for. My family is large and we're all close pretty much, we'll pull together as quite a force if anyone wrongs one of us! Between all of my friends outside of fab I confide in each of them in different ways. Cherry x" That’s so lovely

"Almost non-existent. I have acquaintances rather than friends. People I had considered good and trusted friends have continually and consistently let me down, so now the only person I trust and rely on is me." I’ve been there … it can get better

"I have a lot of friends who live elsewhere who I chat to online/message. The friends I have nearby are acquaintances really, I don’t have anybody whose house I pop to or who ever comes to mine. It does make me sad if I stop to think about it "

"I have friends, but they're all singular rather than a group. I don't really like hanging out with lots of people at the same time. I have a lot of "people I know" also, who aren't quite friends, but I still chat to, would have a cuppa with. " That’s lovely

"Not anymore, no. A lot of our friends seemed to melt away when I acquired my disability, unfortunately. I have one very good friend left but she lives at the other end of the country. It's been Fabsters who've picked me up after my Dad's recent serious accident and have looked after me " They weren’t really your friends if they disappeared because you’re disabled

True friends make you pizza at 10pm and offer their spare room so you don't have to pontificate on your Dad's condition on your own. Fab friends

"You have a good circle of friends away from here? I am so blessed to have mine - regularly check in with me and basically they are like aunts and uncles to my daughter. What’s your circle, outside Fab like? " Night and day difference... Fab is a bit of a lonely place for most single males, some get very lucky and good on them. But wouldn't say I had a fab circle at all Whereas real life is very different. Met some incredible people over the years I've made inseparable bonds with. Fab is a fantasy land, real life is not... That's how I see it anyway

"My circle is tiny. And my proper good friends circle is smaller than that. People drift off and go on another journey, or I realised that I put more energy into the friendship than they did. One of those. Which is life I suppose. "

"Unfortunately not, I lost a lot of friends when I moved down south, and never made any there, moving back home it's just me, I have work colleagues I'm friendly with but noone I can call a true friend that's not fab related " Do you call Fab related friends then? Not being funny, I'm genuinely interested. I have folk I've moved over to whatsapp & whatnot. We chat/craic on. I like them definitely. But not sure if I'd say 'friends'? I certainly wouldn't expect them to put me up in their spare room. Yet, I have a few folk I'd definitely hang out with if they were in the area... Weird one I guess?
