I’m not going to name them, they live very far away and its pointless trying to arrange anything or they simply instruct that they don’t meet on their profile or in here. It would be pointless trying.

Off forums, 99% anyone I think is attractive will be hard for me to get to talk to. inbox will be full of much more suitable men for them. But message would have been sent. I just don’t have the energy to send any more. So, I’ve now come unattainable to them

I used think that people were unattainable to me.

Was worried about distance mostly, but I have recently realised that actually life is just to short to admire from afar and watch on wistfully from the sideline.

So I've now adopted the attitude of if you don't ask, you'll never get. If you get a no (or no response at all) you've lost nothing and are still watching from afar, but if you do get a yes, then you've potentially gained so much.

I say just go for it!

I have one definite on this thread. Already established a few weeks ago that I am not her kind of doughnut. I've heard she prefers custard rather than jam!

I find the logistics one interesting. As a few have said, I'd travel quite a way for a great connection, but I think most people don't believe you are that committed.

I'm also open to travellers who want to visit the North West. That would be a new dynamic for me.

Ultimately, I have little control over whether I am someone's type or not but I'm definitely visual and personality. I can't have one without the other

But luckily (still not sure how) two or three of that list have messaged me and one of them has become a top buddy over the last year.

There are a few ladies I really like and I am already friends with.

Overall its kind of a numbers game. There are x number of people I'd like to get intimate with. X-Y number of those would want to get intimate with me. That gives me z number to play with. As long as z is greater than 0, then I'm happy.

I don't really ever think, I wish I could play with x, but I'll make do with y, that just isn't the way I think. I've had sex with supermodel types and not enjoyed it as much as sex with people considered less attractive, haven't we all?

On a serious note, I have this. My confidence rides high, I message and we talk. Quickly I find doubt, I know fab. I know profiles and men/women who, in my opinion, are ‘hot’. So I imagine I just slip down a list and at the bottom of a queue of others they’d rather meet up with.

So they do feel unavailable, unattainable or out of my league, Same thing really.

But I get on with it, my dog wags it’s tail and greets me, and we don’t even like each other.

I am one of those who won't contact someone unattainable. Because I don't want to be with them if they're such a perfect specimen physically. I could never measure up to that. Even when I was younger and thinner I felt like that. Insecurity, I guess.
