I’d take that as they are trying to be polite but aren’t interested

If someone gives you these replies then stop replying. No point talking to people that aren’t giving you anything back. Same as real life. Don’t do it to yourself.

We get this and assume they're not interested but don't like to say so, we just stop messaging

My answers always reflect the effort put in. That includes whether they’ve read my profile or not. If the answer is on there, it’s where they are directed. If the question is short, the answer is, and I don’t respond if it’s not a naturally flowing conversation x

Are you asking yes or no questions?

Ask open questions and you might get better answers. If not then they’re definitely not interested.

Think most people have had this is past we presume either their busy or they are not into us and the conversation.Either way it’s fine we just stop messaging them .

I get it when say you've contacted them first and you think "Ah, they don't want to say sorry not for me"

But when they've contacted you, asked a question got a fairly in-depth answer back only to get "Totally." Or something similar, it's like, well conversation ends here unless you give me something more.

These kind of replies are why I'm totally fine with people just ignoring/deleting my messages.

Would much rather no reply than an obviously uninterested one.

If they reply with yes / no / dunno / lol I assume:

a. I'm not for them and move on.

b. They are certainly not what I'm looking for and move on.

Effort/reward and all that. If someone can't write a reasonable reply then I presume I'm not what they are looking for but they are keeping their options open. If conversation doesn't flow on her, I shudder to think what happens at a meet...

I find it odd coming from someone who initiated contact.
