Posting after 175

How does this happen? I get that sometimes people post simultaneously at the end so a thread can get to a couple of posts over 175, but I swear I've seen posts being added well after the thread's already been closed?

Teach me your ways, I want to have the last word always

Keep one or more tabs open with the reply box.

Either .. have a reply open but I posted and wait until it’s gone past 175, or use the back button.

If you have hit the Post button before it reaches 175, you can post as long as you stay on that page. Other people can post and take it past 175 before you post your response and your comment will still be added to the thread.

There’s a number off ways

1 bookmark the open reply box to the thread

2 keep the open reply box tab

3 bit tricky but each thread has a i.d number in the url

Each reply box has the same I.d number it’s

So the reply box knows what thread it’s posting the reply to

Open the closed thread copy the I.d number

Then open a reply box to a open thread edit the url and switch the i.d numbers to the closed threads I.d numbers and then post the reply

We had a thread span 300 comments once go so bad admin pulled the thread

Keep posting too much past 175 and it makes admin notice it more and if the comments/replies are deemed to be rude you'll get yourself a ban.

Remind me of exams at school when people made a game out of being the last to cough in the exam hall. It got to the point where the teachers were like "if one more person coughed the whole year fails this exam" (was just a mock). I felt bad for any kid with a genuine cold that day
