Tbf I think people are wiser to it, especially post covid/war/standard goverment scapegoats.

I also lived through the AIDS/HIV crisis and lost friends. As portrayed recently in the fantastic It's a Sin series many in the gay community dismissed the virus as fake, propaganda and homophobic and look how that turned out.

If the science and facts link it predominantly to men who have sex with men then we have a duty to act. Grow up and put your own bigotted flag away till we know more.

There is nothing to suggest that it's a sexually transmitted infection. It does spread through close contact and body fluids though. What's more likely is that a single individual in the gay community contracted it and the only people they had close contact with were other gay people.
