" That was the conclusion on my post a year or so ago.. howeverbeing a massive fan of massive attack & banksy.. personally i have a take on it.. Banksy is a art collective of a secret group of artists. I dont believe 'banksy' is a single person. Whenever a identity comes out of a certain person being banksy that person is within the media eye at the time of another art attack so it does seem very cat and mouse. Robert Del Naja, famously created the art on his album covers which resembles many of the same traits as 'some' of the street art, i definitely think hes one of the collective. Robin Gunningham, again his early artwork on albums has surfaced pre banksy era many again have 'selected' banksy traits. | |||

Very likely someone from the Bristol area and quite easily now a group or collective. | |||

But on a serious note. I quite like some of the Banksy art and interesting to read about the “collective” theory. I’ll check out some of the work of the folk Gatsby mentioned.

Good thread Tom "Im not a great fan of some of what banksy stands for but his work is so purposeful and powerful. What struck was the links within massive attacks music, what it promotes is a audible way and how that connects to banksy's work also during their 2010 u.s tour 12 pieces (iirc) popped up on his tourpath. That was the big give away, however his latest icecream van stunt Robert Del Naja wasnt within the area at that time and he made a point of being in the public eye when this happened, that lead me to believe yes hes a member but its a collective. Banksy must be a acronym... type to get those decoding specs on laluna | |||
