I don’t need to be named in a forum of people that don’t know me to tell me how pretty or wonderful I am. I never get mentioned nor do I want to be.

I really don’t understand the issue of not being mentioned.

The ones that are are by friendship clichés, people blowing smoke up each other’s bums or you have your growler out. It’s not exactly exciting competition.

The funny thing is, half these people wouldn’t look twice at eachother in real life.

But it makes people happy….. let them be.

"I don’t need to be named in a forum of people that don’t know me to tell me how pretty or wonderful I am.

I agree with this, if you want to be noticed more on fab, why not send messages to people you want to interact with. Less moaning and be more pro active

People need to stop worrying about being noticed on here and get noticed in the real world. It’s much more fun

Did you notice me today I was the guy that bumped into the lamppost

Did I get you the cold compress or was that the other guy that did the same thing?

No cold compress I think you muttered not again and sashayed off "

We don't tend to receive any messages from the more prolific, louder of the forumites here, over the years and with different profiles, we never really have.

We don't feel overlooked because we do and have over the years received messages from some of the quieter ones, and often rather nice messages.

We all have a place on society, we can't all be the same personality type.

We aren’t here to be the most popular or the most in demand.

We are here to find other members to fit into our band who play our type of music.

We may not sell many stadiums out but we’ll make and break records and have fun along the way

I don’t like these kind of threads. They’ve been done before and I think they’re more likely to divide people even more. There’s probably people thinking I’m not sure whether to post here or not. Someone posted on one of these last time and got asked why she was posting as she was apparently deemed to be popular. Anyone can comment on any thread. If people don’t like the “best this” “favourite that” threads then don’t read or join. Fab is just a bit of fun for most people.

This is very true, but also if they dont have a daily whinge/moan and then complain they are not popular enough or no one has looked at a fanny or cock picture they done enough times in a day, they then have to make it known so they become top of the list.

So many people seem to be living for fab lately and not using it in the way it should be intended.

Live your real life first in the real world, blend fab in with it, not the other way round.

I could say something profound and meaningfull and try to speak to peoples humanity. Or something that makes me come across all inclusive like you just did, and others have on here.

But these are also fun, for those that think they’re not included in the other fun.

But I joined here because I wasn’t popping up in the other thread, I joined the fun.

"I don’t like these kind of threads.

It’s like when people are playing football and they have enough players, I came and joined the rounders team…. Because the cricket match looked shit.

Anyone can be included in anything! It’s not bloody school or gangs! You stay on your turf and don’t dare cross onto their turf. "

Exactly. I only see a majority of people having fun. In many yards of a playground. Circulation between them is good and you find your longer term friends that way.

But someone is more likely going to join in with a group that will talk with them than a group (thread) that makes them feel ignored. Like talking to you now. No? You made me come back and converse.

Anyway, this is too serious for this morning…

FAF?

Not really because it doesn’t affect how I feel about anything the fact I’ve posted on this thread. Joining the threads I mentioned obviously affect people’s self esteem etc so slightly different. My point was if threads are going to affect you don’t comment on them

I watch the Alternative Oscars and love parodies. Some people don’t get the humour, or think it’s mocking someone, not all of the time. It’s just laughing at something in a different way, using their popular as a way to have fun yourself. I got it op,

There’s enough fun suckers on the internet, there’s not many on fab. Keep it up, people in the forum are cool.

Maybe we all just need to be consciously more inclusive. It's obvious some fab forumers know each other very well, which is understandable if you've been on forums for a number of years. We just need to be kinder to each other I think and welcome all, warts n' all.

I post when I feel I have something to say, serious or a bit of fun. Good to see other opinions and also have a little banter as long as its not intentionally hurtful to anyone. Not interested in anyone causing arguments for the sake of it.If I create a thread and nobody posts, so be it. Who cares really, it's all just a bit of fun and passing the time a long as everyone is respectful to one another. I try to behave towards others as I like behaving towards me but in the end if I don't like something I just move on. Life is too short. I worry about my real friends and family and that's enough

One might argue that getting to the point of "dislike" inherently means one is in some way affected. But that person is not me.

Not at all. Passing time whilst having a poo or waiting for the washing to finish and seeing attention seeking threads and commenting on them does not mean that effects someone’s life. Seriously. It’s always the same look at me people and Nora is definitely not one of those. I can assure you knowing her in REAL LIFE the only affect this has is pure comedy

If anything, now that we’ve established Michelle as the Beyoncé of the overlooked, Kelly is now the irrelevant one of the main 3.

Manchester (he/him)

Personally I find these types of threads rather uncomfortable.

Just as the popularity threads breed discontent, so do these and can be seen as a touch self pitying in some ways.

I think that pretty much everyone feels overlooked at some point on here. In a text based format where you can’t see people reacting, reading or agreeing, only the R+Q function, it’s easy to feel ignored and to only reflect on our experiences, not if others feel the same, which everyone I’ve ever spoken to, does.

Feeling and being overlooked are something of a confirmation bias and no one here in actually overlooked, I can understand why people feel it though.

I think that everyone on here lends something, whether they’re talked to, about or fabbed lots is kind of irrelevant
