Dilema

Want to leave fab (and fully delete profile) Since it died it's death from pandemic.

But at same time don't want to delete profile and lose verifications.

regret losing deleting last time and losing the all of 6 I had lol.

(For men it's like gold dust!)

But then again, other than info on clubs, i can't see much success here any more. Not that I'm trying.

So it's a dilema.

I suppose a question is how do people feel about fab changed since pandemic started ?

Only you know if you leave whether like many you will be drawn back and regret leaving, loosing your verifications.

Post pandemic clubs are getting busier and busier. People are meeting. Just got to try, which you say you don't do!

Two parter answer.

Why do you want to keep your veri’s if you no longer feel fab is working for you and you want to leave?

As for our experience, we joined just before lockdown started and have been successful in making connections and arranging meets, and have been meeting a lady now for over a year. It can be a challenge to find those that want the same as you.

That is a good question, it is what I was going to ask.

The majority of people are back out at clubs and meeting again. You just have to have some patience finding someone. All the best

Everything really has a sell by date.

We all on a personal level know full well when its time to leave anything we are engrossed in.

If anything is missing in any point of our lives a void . We like and will fill it with something to fill the very void.

If something does not work, make change's to the plan, not the end goal.

We can only change ourself for the better not others. Be the change and example!

Not easy by any means,but after struggle comes ease.

Only shareing some mindsets.

I first joined in 2008 following a mass exodus from another well known site.

Only deleted my solo profile when we became a couple.

We took a nigh on 4 year break from the site and barely even logged on during the pandemic.

The site hasn't change at all. I've seen barely any changes since I originally joined. The only thing that has changed slightly is the expectations that many have when joining, but that's to be expected given the rise in dating apps, online contact mechanisms and the rise of the 'virtual world' in recent years.

If you want to delete then delete. Or just hide your profile if you don't want to lose the veri's. But no point blaming the site. Or the pandemic.

Like a few have said, maybe im clinging on to the possibility it will rise from the ashes and so the veris will be usefull if i "come back". I have 2 at the moment.

(It's really tough for guys to get their first meet/veris, on a profile! unless someone revis them).

I'm not sure if my lack of trying is down to the fact the life changes and I'm (wanting to) moving on, but at same time hate/struggle letting go of the past. Fabs has been good before. Unfortunately hiding profile doesn't "tie up loose ends". I'd Need a clean break.

having 3 active fbuds outside of fab probably isn't helping the issue.

It's not the site, it's your expectations.

If it's not meeting your needs then why stay, especially as you've said you have active FB's off-site? There's no point in doing something that isn't making you happy when your time could be better spent doing something else.

I've said the same to anyone and everyone who ask's the 'should I stay or should I go?' question.

If staying makes you frustrated, unhappy or impacts your mental health in a negative manner - then go. Why put yourself in a position where staying has no positive benefit or outcome?

There's never anything stopping you coming back in the future if things change. There's no membership fee. There's no contract.

Fab has always had a revolving door that many have repeatedly used, time and time again.
