My lover took 6 months to get a meet with me but he persisted in a good way and I wish I had met him sooner..

You can tell whether its negative or positive attention I think.

Its taken me 2 years to be much stricter when choosing.lol.

I incorrectly assumed the complete lack of subtlety in my post was a hint of humour.

If I'd been serious I'd have also included the TV being covered in dust all the time, the plugholes being full of hair and the car constantly coming home with dents due to an incapacity to reverse park.

I guess that’s the key isn’t it, what response the suitor gets back. Is it a clear and firm “no” or is there a little tease, a little hook, that says “come back and try again”. It’s when those signals are misread I guess that the issues occur!

If you carry on showing an interest after they made it clear they aren't interested that's harassment.
