I was 18 when lockdown started now nearly 21 and I’ve loved it all I don’t feel like I’ve lost out on my teen years…if anything it’s been so much better not having the pressure to go out and be a teenager

Agree - not been a great start to the 20's

I saw one them soundbites on Facebook a while back - said something along the lines of:

The 2020's - written by Stephen King & directed by Quentin Tarantino! Sounds about right!

Anyway - Trump will be back in a couple of years - it'll all calm down then!

It was what you made of it.

I embraced the problems put in front of me. Made best of a shitstorm situation. No point moaning about stuff over which I had no control.

Lockdown sucked, but it presented me with an amazing opportunity to watch my daughter go from baby, to toddler, first words, talking, walking properly. I got to spend a load more time with Mrs S while we were both home. I saved a load of stress by not needing to go out to shops, etc.

We’re only two years in. We’ve had:

Long holidays off works.

Brexit bonus to look forward to.

Weather is getting warmer.

Traffic volume is reducing.

Call of Duty Live is on the telly.

The rich list got bigger and better.

What’s not to like?

Glass 1/2 full always!

Hmmm, it’s certainly been more restrictive and felt like our wings had been clipped at times, we live to travel and be out and about so being told to stay home didn’t sit too well after the first few months

"Crikey i thrived in lockdown! "

Ditto.

Was the best financial period ever had!

Had more time with family.

No commuting.

No traffic on the road for trips to Castle B.

Cheap hotels.

Big rolls were scarce but just tear up some silk sheets or use a civid mask.

Down here in london. The music scene clubs, raves, live bands was on fire from thur till sunday. Or you could 7 days a week if you really wanted.

Used to look up venues on Hot Tickets! A magazine free evert thur pm with the Evening standard newspaper.

Most of those clubs are closed down now turned into new design flats.

"the 1930s had the great depression & the rise of fascism & the start of WW2. Are the 2030s going to be worse? "

Three months ago I would have said no to your question, now I am not so sure, Putins actions in Ukraine are creating much wider problems in respect of food, gas and oil shortages.

Combine that with the weak Government we have and who are more interested in Partygate and Beergate than the real problems we have in the country, be interesting to see how they respond to the forthcoming rail strike.

I can still remember the winter of discontent during the early 1970's. I hope we are not going to get a repeat of that in 2022/2023.

Hate’s a strong word, we’re alive and well - so not all bad. It’s been turbulent with Parliamentarians with their shenanigans, etc. but we hope with change being imminent - it’ll be a better future. We can but live in hope and try our best to cope.

Didn't have to see anyone, talk to anyone.
