FabSwingers.com forum: Fair weather friends.?

My mum would call some of the people we new fair wather friends as just around to see what thay could get and gone the next month. Was at my girls boyfriends party last night and was loads there friends and family and alot of his mum and dad friends ... With swinging friends come and go over the years and its rear to get close friends i find .. most my vanilla friend moved miles away and over seas and really my children and family come first now all older doing there own thing i do feel .. i need to get back to making real friends again not ones that come and go. Do you mix alot and have real friends or ones like us that have come and gone. ?

I (we) have friends that I have known for years, mainly from my years of living in the London and South East area.

I have Two very close friends that I have met during my 15 years living in Devon, and I see them regularly and would do anything for them.

But my (our) friends we met in the 80's and early 90's in the London area are the one's we remain closest to.

I have many friends, but only 3 that I call my " real friends" who I have known for years! They all live in different places too, one in Scotland, one in the midlands and one down here! I know I can tell them anything and their advise is always good!! Sometimes I won't speak with them for months, then when we do speak we just pick up where we left off,

I have lots of friends and keep them close to me as i rely upon them to surpt my when im done and to join me when having god days - all of my friends live within 10mtrs of my house - in fact they are at bottome of my garden in the shed - pinky perky- the three little piggys - snow whit and here gang and of course not forgetting my closest friend - Daffy Duck

Do you think i should keep taking the tablets or lay off coffee lol

I have friends I'll go for a coffee or shopping with but I've only 2 true friends but unfortunately they are both down in Norfolk. One I've known since I was 4 and she proberbly knows more about me than I do!! We only see each other once or twice a year but when we meet up its like we've nether been apart, she's more like the sister I never had really

Then other I see several times each year and again we tell each other everything.

I do miss having someone close enough to tell my deepest darkest to up here, I get on great with OH sisters but I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate me filling them in on what we get up to lol

This may sound cliche, but I married my best friend (Mrs Art) but can count on one hand the people who I can count on when things go belly up and call true friends.

A good friend will bail you out from the police cells...a true friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "Damn, that was fun"

My very best friend I've known since I was 5 - we know each other inside out (in a non pervy way obviously)

I also have a handful of best mates who again know everything about me and I can ask them anything

Whatever any of these friends asked me for, if I was able to comply with the request, I wouldn't hesitate to do so and I know it'd be the same for them. I consider myself very lucky to have a group of friends like that

My best friend is also my cousin, we've been close all our lifes. We are always on the end of the phone and support each other through tick and thin. She know the basics of what I get up to and fully supports me.

We've been on holiday together, got d*unk together (many times, supported each other when we lost or respective Mums.

I know that if I picked up the phone and screamed healp, she'd be with me like a shot.

We are in so many ways alike and we can both look at an item of clothing and know instinctively whether we would like it. We've also gone into a shop, seperated, met up at the cash till or outside and found that we've both picked up or purchased an identical item of clothing.

Ive got six or seven best friends, most ive known for well over 25 years, we have been through everything together. I even held my best friends hand when she gave birth to my goddaughter 23 years ago

A number of very close friends whom I could call anytime, day or night and they would be there for me. A slightly larger group of people who are still very good friends but not quite as close and a large circle of aquaintances/ mates/ friends with whom I socialise etc but no further or real indepth relationship.
