"Is it something you do often? I stood on the scales for the first time in around 3 years last night. I'm a stone and a half heavier than I remember! Zero fucks given but it did surprise me a little. It probably shouldn't given the amount of crap I eat but I'm now seriously thinking of checking my weight more often, although I'm still wearing the same size clothes and they don't feel any tighter. And I can't blame anything in my pockets or a very heavy hat as I was stark bollock naked at the time. Do people still check their weight daily/weekly/monthly or like me do you just not bother? A " I weigh myself most days. It's just data. With it I can take informed action if I want to.

A " Last weighed myself about 20 years ago..previously to that I'd always been around 13 - 13 1/2 but for some strange reason I decided to just see if I was in stil;l in same range..Hell No ! Exactly 15 stone ! (can't help but thinking we using same scales here LOL). But I have found what appears to be to blame, and quite a few people who recently aquired one also..'A lockdown lip'

"I’ve suffered over the years with a eating disorder and I did during lockdown start to obsess over the scales .I could see familiar patterns happening weighing after every meal was one of them. Now I weigh once a week same time wearing same clothes and trying not to fixate on them ."

"Weighing yourself too often can be dangerous. Weight can fluctuate a couple of kilos a day, so you can think you have gained a kilo when infact you have just drank a litre of water. " Yeah but weighing once a week and hitting that gain day can be just as dangerous. You think you've been super good all week then gained sending you in to a spiral. At least if you weigh every day you will see the fluctuations and be able to identify why they happened such as eating a whole pack of chocolate brownie digestives with a cup of coffee the day before At the end of the day weight loss and the journey is personal to that person and what works for them won't work for everyone.

" Exactly, do what works for you. As long as you are either maintaining or seeing a downward pattern then great.
