Obviously everyone has preferences and something that they’re looking for, not everyone can be those things and that’s completely OK, however, that means that there are going to refusals, rejections and pure blunt ‘No’’s.

So how do you handle the ‘no thanks’ aspect of things?

Do you delete? Block? A gentle “you’re not what I’m looking for”? Are you a vague emoji user? Or something else?

If it’s a forum user would leave them unblocked incase off forum related messages

If not a form user would probably block so they don’t appear on my searches

Also I have a rule that if you say no it’s a no for life there is no changeing that

Ie say no here we meet a club or social or something and they realise they maybe should have sed no

Or in terms off dateing once they say no it’s a no for life

I agree. I always do the thanks but no thanks but find that the guys just stop communicating. Sometimes they block but rarely.

That’s what we do…unless it’s a two word message, or obvious they haven’t read our profile, or it’s obvious they’ve messaged us at 4AM during a session - then we just ignore.

Why would I reject anyone or put anyone off? I’m a single male… anything with a pulse right?

I’d like to think I’m polite and leave a person with a good feeling that there are good people around, we can still have a laugh, but sex wouldn’t be great between us if one of didn’t want to. That type of thing.

I generally have a 10 word minimum rule before I consider a reply. I almost always end up sending a longer message back than I’ve been sent. I usually thank them for their message and let them know I’m not meeting at the moment (although that’s clearly stated on my profile

) and wish them well in their search. Only block if I get abuse or repeated messages asking me why not.

It's unfortunate for those that would take no for an answer and make the effort with a message.

But the arguing back and not taking no for an answer just gives me another reason why they aren't for me.

Even the most polite first messages have come back abusive or trying to persuade me otherwise after a rejection and I can't be bothered with it. x

I get the returen abuse stalking perstering etc.

No reply,delete,and blocked. Does that not say in loud actions you are not for them rather than they have to explain in detail why!

Just looking at all possible ways things are done said expressed with actions.

I reject by not responding to their messages. It feels harsh BUT I learnt years ago from multiple experiences that a lot of people kick up no matter how soft you try to be, or they engage you in conversation to change your mind. I find only a tiny minority kick up if I ignore the message, so this way seems to work

If someone has sent me a reasonable message and no dick pics, but they're not my cup of char - I say "Thanks for the message, but I'm not interested. Happy fabbing."

If they haven't sent a reasonable message, they clearly haven't read my profile or they've attached dick pics - I will delete their message. Probably unread. I might block depending on the message.

I do all of my rejecting when they're not online as I've learnt my lesson!

Depends on why am rejecting. If its just a crude message and they cleqrly haven't read my profile, its a no reply and if they message again, block.

If its a articulate message usually say why they are not for me. Mostly its a height thing, I have stated tall in my profile and people 5'9 and under keep messaging.

It depends on how the other person has approached me, what sort of mood I'm in (I'm far more likely to send a polite response on a day when I haven't already had to read and respond to a shit-tonne of dreck) and how much time I have available.

Sometimes I'll go back with a thanks but no thanks (sometimes I'll give a reason, sometimes not), sometimes I don't respond.

I only tend to block because of a message if someone follows up with abuse.

I would never respond with an insult, just not my style.

Depends on what the message is.

If someone's crafted something witty or made a bit of an effort, I may say "not for me thanks".

If its cut n paste or gibberish, I'll delete.

If I get something crude or derogatory, I block.

Well no, it doesn't work like that. If they do reply and then change their filters you would not be blocked because they had messaged you.
