Is it wrong to meet up with people within a 2 mile radius

Following on from my last question of how far you would travel for playing, what's the point where it's too close. I'm in n wales and there's dozens of profiles all within a mile of me. Is it too risky or is that part of the thrill. What's people thinking

Depends on how open you are about the lifestyle and what you consider a risk.

Why is being within 2 miles riskier than say 10? Or 50?…. Got something to hide?

Totally your preference but I'd be wary if your looking to swing with others you may know them! Or even work with these ppl! So yeh I wouldn't search to close to home for that reason alone lol unless it was my school crush I might rethink that lol

I'd avoid, if it all went wrong it could be awkward bumping into them.

Especially if they showed up as parents in the same schools as your own kids, or you took a new job and they ended up a colleague or boss.

That's without having anything to hide. But God forbid you then bumped into them and they turned out to be married and you didn't know etc. That could be even more awkward.

Yep.

I agree with all the previous comments about adults being adults and not being ashamed of anything you're doing.

But if something goes wrong on a meet or the person turns out to be just a tad more batshit than anticipated, then I'd much prefer that they were a few more miles than 2 away from us.

Just because 'you' (as in you in general) know how to be respectful and maintain confidentiality/discretion, doesn't guarantee that others do too.

I was threatened with being outed to the company I worked for about 10 years ago by someone who visited a swingers club I worked at and recognised me from my day job, where I had a reputational disrepute clause in my contract that I can guarantee would have resulted in my dismissal. I called their bluff but it could easily have cost me my job.

So always worth considering all factors, including how close to home you play.

We wouldn’t meet someone who lives nearby. We don’t like the idea of bumping into them in Asda or possibly having mutual friends.

We like to keep swinging and our real life completely separate.
