Fab couples / couples who met because of fab:

What do you tell your vanilla friends and family about how you met? Do you weave an elaborate story to cover your alternative interests? Or are you honest about it all?

Clearly it's like most nowadays, you met online.

My ex and I used to say we met online dating. Close enough to the truth in my eyes.

In the past I just used the cover of ‘met online’. Most people just accept that these days.

It gets a bit harder if the relationship is long distance though

Yeah but most people limit their search ranges to 10 miles or so, not 150…

The ‘we met online’ story is good but does is stand up to scrutiny from family or more nosey friends? I work with a bunch of nosey Parkers and I know ‘met online’ wouldn’t satisfy their voracious appetites for information

.

There's a whole backstory about me being on a hen do, him being out with some old uni friends. We've even got the name of the fictional club we met at imprinted on our memories.

I love it! definitely think there should be a thread of for the details of people’s cover stories. For couples it isn’t easy, not only do we have to remember our fibs, but we have to be on exactly the same page with the story

We didn’t meet on fab but we have to spin a web of elaborate lies when we go to clubs. There’s only so many times you can visit another city before people ask questions.
