How far would you travel to meet?

Just wondering if people have a cut off point with travelling to meet someone. 50 miles maybe. Gotta be confident off the meet first but for a first time encounter. What's your thoughts?

Although distance does mess me around on here, I came to the conclusion quickly that distance isn’t really the problem to meet someone you really like. But wanting to see someone regularly that’s when it becomes an obstacle.

I’d travel a long way to meet on fab, otherwise I never would.

Manchester doesn’t like me.

For a first meet / social then I’d probably say two hours each way, but it would depend on the person and what sort of connection we’d made already.

Furthest I have driven for a meet is four hours, stopping overnight and then driving home the following day.

Surely distance/time is relative?

I'm pretty much as far east as you can get in the UK, the roads are awful and slow. Someone 20 miles away could be almost an hour door to door.

I'll travel or I just won't meet anyone

As a single bloke I used to travel miles, I think the furthest was Preston (from East London), for a meet. A small group of us would meet up all over the place at organised socials and have a great time.

I don't drive, but as I prefer regular meets, I don't see a point engaging with anyone who lives over an hour drive. Unless they're going to the club on the same day as I am.

I’ve traveled a few hours for a meet and it was well worth it! It’s about the connection, trust and rapport that has been built up first that dictates though…… I’d be wary rolling up after a long drive based on nothing more than a quick conversation

I was going to ask this question.

Not that far really. We want to make connections for regular meets, not just one-offs, we also want a social-first, so probably 30-45 minutes drive. Don't working out very well at the moment, far to many time wasters.

Clubs are different, as we will be traveling for 4 hours to get to some clubs.

Depends on the type of meet, who it’s with, the amount of interaction beforehand and how much notice.

For a planned meet with plenty of notice then anything up to 3 or 4 hours drive is possible
