Ok, I don't go to the pictures/cinema much, but BFI are rereleasing Get Carter in a fully restored, 4K version. That probably doesn't excite you as much as it does me, but seeing Britt Ekland on a massive screen, in one of the best gangster films ever made, has my excitement levels building. Take my entrance fee now!

Any films you'd love to see released back on the big screen?

I think a rerelease on a big screen should be a film that’s enhanced with the experience.

Maverick or Top Gun 2 is out soon, so a double bill with the original would be great.

Or a comedy so you can share the laughter, Life of Brian for example.

Maybe something a bit more emotional like Dead Poets Society I first saw at the Cinema.

Either way films in which a shared experience enhancing the experience would be my suggestion.

They've restored the film, frame by frame, and restored the original soundtrack, including the bits the dubbed over for the Americans. I just need a date to go with (spoiler, I'll be going alone)

When i lived in mallorca they used to have a great English language cinema, there was an intermission so they could change reels and the patrons could go out to the small bar in the foyer, they let you take your drinks back in with you too!,I saw Amadeus, cocoon and pale rider there, their was a lot of d*unken good natured calling out on occasion that made the whole experience extremely memorable.

It's allegedly on at the new Everyman in Edinburgh, where I think you can also have a pint

Love to see Gravity or The Walk in IMAX 3D...

They were both released in 3D and I bet that would be spectacular to see them in that format.

Agree with the double bill of Top Gun and Maverick mentioned above.

Get Carter a great film. Not many of those places, you see on the film actually exist these days. Well maybe only the High Level bridge. The concrete car park in gateshead is no longer there. The lift there often broke down. I got stuck there 3 times. Ooh those were the days,
