I'm always reading on here ,how the ladies are bombarded with messages off men.Just wondering how many you get on a daily basis .I might send one to someone I really fancy ,but do you just get too many to handle.

I get about 20-25 daily. If I'm online.

Most don't read my profile or think with they're peen so it's easy to sift through.

Before I showed Mrs S how to set her filters, she would get 50-100 messages per day. That number would grow if she posted a new picture.

There’s no harm in you messaging her if you feel you meet what the lady is looking for, and think you can offer what she likes. You’ve nothing to lose.

Message numbers vary depending on how much time you spend online, whether you’re adding pics and statuses and are active on the forums. Even if you only get a handful of messages though, if you start replying to them it can soon feel overwhelming x

Be thoughtful and creative.

But don't get upset if she doesn't reply, nobody is entitled to a reply no matter how well or poorly crafted the message is.

When I first joined it was in the hundreds. Now most of the local dreamers and fantasists don’t try, and I only get maybe 20-30, peaking if I post in the forums or put new pics/statuses up. I try to reply to any that are polite and pleasant, and ignore the idiots, so it’s not that difficult to manage nowadays xx

Maybe send a message after reading her profile

If I'm hunting and all filters are off and looking for is on then easily 100 new messages a day.

With it all turned off maybe 3 messages a day as I only show up in the forums and not in searches

It varies as others have said based upon activity.

Cut out the ones who just write “hi” or write something that I’d never answer to, it’s about 10-20

Depends on how active I am or if I upload pictures etc. No matter how many I get, I always read them though.

My advice to you and any other guy; if you send one word messages, it will be deleted. If you send basic how are you, what you up to? it will be deleted. If they get a sense that you haven't read the profile, it will be deleted. If you ask to ride her like a donkey right now, it will be deleted.

Show a little personality in your messages and make sure it gives a good reflection of who you are. But then again, you can make the effort but ultimately if the person doesn't find you attractive, it will be deleted. Just take your shot at the people you are interested in, if they don't reply just respect that and move on.

My profile says I'm not looking to meet and won't reply to messages. The only picture visible is my avatar. I still get at least 10 messages a day.

If a virtually blank profile that says not meeting gets this many messages, imagine how that number is amplified with an open profile with pictures to look at...I've never had the time or inclination to read through the messages received, even when I was looking to meet. I think the above demonstrates that a good chunk of men on here don't read profiles, even when they're short and to the point.

When ( years ago) I had my boobs on my profile, I’d get anything up to 100 a day.

Now - up to 40 I should say.

Not many most I would get is less than 10 in a day and that would be after posting a new pic usually. I did get more at the very start until I tightened up my filters really tight. Now I can often go for days without any new messages and I prefer it that way.

as others have said, it can vary greatly.

but generally, bombarded is the right word.

some great advice from people above re: if you feel you are what that person is looking for, then sending a creative message (beyond 'hi') would be a good idea Px

I have filters set and therefore I usually get less than 10 messages a day.

It also depends on how much I am online, interactions on the forums and chat rooms can generate messages, adding a new pic...which I rarely do can generate messages.

If I tick the 'Looking for men' box I can get 20+ messages in a day.

With a dot for text, no public pics and it says I'm gay.

When my filters allowed it, I'd get around 30 unsolicited messages a day if I was online but not doing much, up to 100 if I posted a picture or a verification. (That was much higher in my first year or so on Fab)

At the moment my filters are set so no one new can message me.

Often the unsuitable can make it easy to filter them out, so it's definitely a good idea for well matched guys to message. Keep your expectations realistic, as it takes mutual matching, as well as the context of the moment being right.
