What's your experience of being let down when planning a meet, is it couple's or singles who's let you down mostly?

Have a great weekend.

We’ve never really been let down but we only meet people we have previously met at group socials so that eliminates all the fantasists.

.In general from the people we know I would say single men Maybe they get cold feet or their unable to make excuses to their wives ..

Although there was this one girl this one time

when a date is set, normally everyone turns up. I’m lucky I guess.

Yes think the social gatherings eliminate the time wasters.

In my experience it's often couples that cancel with short notice.

I don't think certain groups of people are worse than the other. Ultimately it comes down to someone's character.

Snap it's happened a few times over the years.

Neath valley.

With us it was cpls. We were kids free three times in last cpl of months and were after our first meet with a cpl. All three times the three cpls came up with excuses why they could not meet up. We have kids so child care is hard so when we were free we wanted to go for it. We know sometimes it can be difficult and things happen but some of the excuses were dire. J&J

I make every effort to make it for a meet, social or otherwise. It’s just good manners. Once I stabbed myself with a screwdriver in work, bloody everywhere. Had no idea how to contact a social other than here. I was 30 mins late, with a plaster on my fingers but we had that coffee!

I’m sure that each demographic can be just as prone to this but in my experience it’s only ever been single men that have not shown up

Always seem to find it difficult to pin them down to a date. It becomes very tiresome and we are now considering just meeting people at clubs.

Manchester (she/her)

By proportion, couples. By sheer number, single men.

But I'm rarely let down to be fair

Luckily I've never been let down but I'd guess it's fakes that have no intention of meeting because they look nothing like their profile photos

For me it’s couples, but it seems to be single guys fault. As they have so many single guys no show they end up booking like 3-4 guys on the day knowing most won’t show. Then when 2 do they have to let one down

Single men... But that's all I have experience of... At least half disappear or don't turn up to socials/meets with no explanation.

I'd agree - I've, more than once, had a guy message me as part of a couple, who basically just wants a BJ, but doesn't want to meet with the wife.
