Sextortion on Fabs

Just had a sextortion attempt on fabs, user now deleted, but they asked to chat over telegram and I made the foolish mistake of giving number - which gave link to Facebook etc - now threatening to message my company and friends.

Has anyone else dealt with this, I’ve not paid up, but be safe out there people

Sorry to hear that OP.

It’s unlikely they’ll do anything, as it’s a serious crime to do so, but just in case keep all records of any conversations and messages etc, don’t be tempted to delete them, and contact the Police if they continue to try and extort you.

Don’t be embarrassed, they’ve seen a lot worse.

I’m 99% sure they won’t do anything, they’re hoping you’ll pay up through fear.

Yeah, it was stupid, I suggested going on kik, but they said telegram easier and being naive I gave my number not a username.

Have deleted my FB, and made it clear I have no money to give them (accurate haha)

We now use a burner phone for all comms off of Fab after one meet told us things about us that he must have got from FB.

Live and learn.

Have a burner phone, spare fb, unique email and never use pics here you used elsewhere, failing that hunt down the saddos and take them out permanently

We all live and learn. But this is why I don't give out my phone number on here unless I know the person really well.

Too many try to get info on others and use it against them.It is sad and pathetic by those who do it.

I learnt early on not to give out personal info and I go by Bo on here there is less than handful know my real name so even if someone does find it out it's easy to know who gave the info.

I had a guy try and use info I gave him when I was first on here to get me to meet him.I told him trying to force someone to meet them would not be the brightest idea he had.He did apologise and he left the site before I got the chance to report him but it taught me a valuable lesson.

One of my mates life’s was wrecked by this.

They posted a video of him jerking to everyone on Facebook. He was sacked so it’s not all rainbows and butterflies as the folk on here suggest. Some realism is needed.

Use Skype - no number - any email address

Or kik.

It's as well to read the safety tips here before embarking on your fab journey.

Seems unfair to be sacked due to a malicious posting on Facebook, unless they hacked into his Facebook.. even then it’s still unfair.

People diss kik but it’s the only one I trust and the only one I’ll use. Some have my WhatsApp but that’s on a different phone with a different email and no other social media apps downloaded onto it. People do this kind of shit I’ve seen it a few times on here. I’d rather be paranoid and careful.

Wow. Just wow. I'd heard these things happened but I didn't really believe it.

I did have to warn someone who I swapped numbers with recently that I was able to find alot out about him by just having his full name from WhatsApp and to be careful in future as he could end up giving it to the wrong person next time.

It's easily done unfortunately.

If something like this occurs on fab you can report it. In this case it happened away from fab.

It's a good idea to read the safety tips I linked to earlier and also to buy a spare phone to use just for fab contacts
