I’m feeling very fragile after a very tough morning. The scary thing about hatred is that it’s Intergenerational. Thinking of like intergenerational cycles of violence. Seeing young people so full of hate towards others has really left me feeling hopeless.

Can anyone tell me something positive that’s happened to them so far this week? Or something they’re feeling hopeful about?

Positive things this week:

1) The student who came back to visit who said I'd saved his life

2) The several ex-students willing to help out as a personal favour, because they value my work with them

3) The chap who fixed my wheelchair wheel "on spec" yesterday, despite being busy, but because I couldn't exactly just leave it with him

4) Getting Mr KC back yesterday

5) Our son being super helpful and coming home to help while Mr KC was away

6) Getting my race pack

Do you seriously believe the only hate amongst people in the world is with the younger generation?

I hate to break it to you, but it really isn't.

Op. I have a social, and actual face to face social coming up. Just me and her, so me being on here and ignoring all the negativity towards a single man, I was able to ignore it and find someone that did want to meet up and not just chat. That’s my good news.

Op, that’s the advice I would give you too. Talk to people with your views your vibe and And try to ignore the hatred in people (hate leads to the dark side). . The world is a much more beautiful world than bad.

I am scared that hatred isn’t just going to ‘die out’ like people say. And that my daughter is going to grow up in a hate filled world. People always say it’s getting better. The younger generation are better. Just had a depressing experience that made me feel pretty sad and hopeless is all. That’s what I meant. Nothing else. Nothing about only young people experiencing hate. Or anything like that.

See now that makes more sense as to the statement you wrote originally.

Also your experiences in the world could be the total opposite to what any family members experience growing up so none of it should be dwelled upon. Live life instead of constantly fretting about the what if's....

I had my 4th back operation last week. It still hurts like fuck.

Today my surgeon said they'll operate again, different kind of op this time, which should help resolve the issue for a few more years.

Last time they operated I was ok for about 9 years, the last two years have been tough, there's light at the end of the pain tunnel.

Plus I've got some physio booked.

Today is a painful but good news day.

Racial hatred stuff... Can't begin to imagine what it's like.

Racists....... Cunts. End of.

Manchester (she/her)

All we can do is be better. Stand up for those who need us. Some of us try. Some of us will never stop trying, and feed on the hatred of those who try to stop us.

My positive? Someone overheard me talking to a cashier about the difficulties of replacing a lost passport. (Context: I'd found a lost passport and handed it in. She didn't hear that) She approached me and gave me specific information about Australian consulates.

I didn't need it, but
