Somewhere In The Ether…

By jove, I’m a nosey bugger and today I wish to pry out of you all what type/brand of razor you use.

How much are you willing to shell out on razor blades?

How many times do you use a blade before changing it?

How often do you shave in fact? (And where….?) (not wishing to take this into any lewd territory, obviously…..)

I use a Phillips Oneblade, it does a decent enough job, not a super close shave but I use it as do my head and face all in one go. Easy enough.

Been using an old school safety razor, use feather platinum blades… razor was £50 but a ten pack of blades are £3.50, get 5/6 good shaves before it starts to nick.. badger brush to soften & reduce ingrown hairs and an alum block for that home alone moment after.

I would never go back to a cartridge razor again.

Usually shave my face 3 times a week and my head once a week.

Turkish barber once a fortnight, cut throat head and face.

Used to use a wet blade (old fashioned 'safety razor') for my head and face but I got lazy and use a phillishave electric. I use a wet blade (usually dry unless I've left it a bit long) to smooth out the nether regions

I’m with you on this. GE razor and blades are so cheap who cares how often you have to change them

Have been using Harry's for the last 6 months or so and so far so good. Gives you a nice clean shave I use for my face and head I'd say twice a week or so. Cock gets a shave with some cheap disposable ones

Another thumbs up on this. I have a Merkur (long handle), after one to many nicks I bought a few different blades and not had any from Merkur super platinum. They keep sharp for weeks with simple stropping. Cream I use Proraso - the tubes last well over a year. I can't imagine the money I've saved not buying gillette

I forked out over £100 for a good German Cutthroat. In 2017.

Worth every penny. Just strop every couple of times and it's good to go. Coupled with a shaving soap and brush it's saved me a fortune.

A single edged razor. Dermatologist recommended one to stop ingrowing hairs and it works. Expensive to start about £80 for the razor but the blades are cheap as chips. Spend about £10 on blades per year now and same again for a good shaving foam.

I use a Gillette Superspeed DE razor, with blades from Merkur, Wilkinson Sword, Boots, or wherever I pick a couple of packs up from. Blades usually last five to seven shaves minimum, and as others have said, are cheap as chips compared with cartridges.

I use Palmolive shaving soap sticks, and lather up with a badger brush. I have a light and patchy beard though, so don’t need to shave more than every other day.

Got an electric jobbie to tame the main growth, the use the Lidl blue and orange own brand wet shave one- works just as well as a Gillette with the added advantage of depriving some over paid footballer/future sex offender ive never heard of from an extra pay day, for parading their daft haircut of the month on TV to promote it
