Good morning! How are we doing?

I’m ok, the anxiety is present and I have some muscle sensations still that are feeding into my health anxiety, so that’s rubbish. I’ve had a couple of bad nights due to it over the past week. I’ve got an assignment deadline this Friday so I think that’s playing a big part in it. Also fighting the emotional eating urge. I’ve put on quite a bit of weight lately so I need to put the brakes on it and look after myself better. Yesterday was the first day. I’ve discovered that procrastination makes me want to eat, so that’s going to be quite the challenge this week!

How are you all getting on? Xx

Thanks as always for the thread OP and good luck with your assignment

Its being a learning curve week again and will continue to be so. Restarted therapy and realised my dark place is my comfort zone as not sure what I would be without these thoughts of no purpose or meaning to my life. I need to change daily routine as its not healthy or productive use of time, but it gets me through the day.

This is the first day of Birmingham mental health awareness week so be interesting to see how that goes

Surprisingly ok despite a lot of the usual triggers (work related) and the general state of things!

At the end of the day, everything that really matters is all fine with me and the weather has been lovely.

Thank you! Ah yes, I think it’s Mental Health Awareness week everywhere, I’d forgotten about that when I posted.

I’m glad you’ve restarted therapy. People find comfort in the familiar, even if it isn’t serving them unfortunately. It’s the reason why so many people stay in or end up in subsequent abusive relationships. Hopefully you’ll be able to work through things and find some healthier things that work for you x

Thanks for the post OP and to all contributors! I’ve had a reasonably good week even tho I was unwell and taking antibiotics Bleugh! Had a little pity party on Monday night and then moved on feeling loads better for it.

I’ve got a hen weekend this weekend which I am dreading but my best friend is the bride and I want to spend time with her but not over the moon about the enforced frivolity of everything else! I shall report back next week with deets.

It is mental health awareness week.

The theme is be alone

Flashbacks, triggers, shit sleep

Not a great start, simple thing have lots of friends, family but feel very much alone

First off thanks OP for the thread! This is a great idea, and should definatley be continued!

We're both OK, slightly anxious as normal but it comes and goes in waves. The family is staying with us for a few days and L has a hen do at the weekend!

Major stress is final fertility appt, probably going to find out that despite losing half my bodyweight I'm still infertile!

A and L x

Is there such a thing as intermittent depression?

I have a like “ a cluster” of low mood days then I will suddenly feel better. I’ve noticed this more in the last couple weeks. 3 weeks ago my friend lost her short but aggressive battle with cancer. It didn’t sink in at all in the first week, but since then I’ve just slept and literally been unable to wake up properly, I don’t have issues going to sleep unless I’m too hot.

From Wednesday or Thursday it “hit” me again on these days I struggle to get dressed let alone anything else. The memorial service for my friend was on Friday which was hard as feeling like that then having to have a shower etc, Saturday just didn’t happen, Sunday woke up at 11, got up at 2.30pm. I did eventually get dressed but only because I had to go out to get a few things, and I had a craving for sweets. I started feeling better halfway through a bar of chocolate.

While I felt low yesterday I did do an e consult form for my GP as I can’t keep feeling like this

Good luck for Friday and wishing you lots of willpower for breaking those eating habits

I had a nice brain reset yesterday, that gave me the kick up the bum to make some changes in my life, that I've been dragging my heels over for a while now, so positive and inspirational quotes are keeping myself focused to stay on track to push through the the mud to get through to the clearer waters

Well, my ex gf left after blowing all my money on online gambling, she gave me genital warts, my teeth got knocked out in an accident and I'm too embarrassed to go out anywhere unless to the shop where I can wear a mask, my depression has kicked in big style causing me not to care whether I eat and when I do its usually something quick and easy like a pot noodle. The list goes on.

Nice post to stumble upon and I really hope everyone is ok and finds a route through their problems.

Working through issues here both family health, relationship and others. Taking it a day at a time, working out solutions and trying to be positive. Nobody is ever 100%, and we need to remember we aren’t alone.

I’m a good listener if anyone needs an ear to chew in confidence.

Talking about things is so important. Sometimes this is better done to a professionally trained individual but often just a good ear is all that is needed to avert issues.

The starting point is: everyone has issues. They express them differently and most people lie about the fact the issues exist, but they are almost certainly present so we’re all in the same boat…
