I think it’s just a slang thing. I think I’ve heard Aitch use peng in a lyric so not a London thing. But I don’t think it’s age specific, it’s more about what cultural things you follow, are around and are influenced by.

As a sociologist once said- there’s only cultural difference!

Just looked it up in an online urban slang dictionary. Peng and leng are interchangeable and mean desirable, attractive or sexy. To call someone even more desirable, attractive and sexier it says peng a leng. And here's me thinking that's what the Bay City Rollers sang!
