Marmite was originally made (and I believe still is) from a by-product of the brewing industry. Its still produced in Burton on Trent.

Seems that there is also a by-product of the fermenting process for Marmite too, and this was being dumped onto fields around the local area. So there was an overpowering smell of what can only be described as rotting, festering Marmite mixed with Pig Shit.

That puts you off your toast in a morning, I can tell you!

You could cover Rihanna in marmite and lay her on a bed in front of me begging for my tongue - and I'd still have to hose her down before going anywhere near her!

Marmite ? I'd rather eat my own earwax!!!

I'm not sure if you are all aware but yeast can theoretically live indefinitely. The oldest recorded yeast is 600+ years old.

Just think of that when you next spread some on your toast. JUST THINK THE FUCK ABOUT IT!!!

LOVE it!!! Smeared on chicken and cooked and on chips and well, most things.

Pity the neck of the jar is so narrow as it might make sucking more tasty. "Just dip it in here sweetie."
