Do men meet socially

I’ve thought this before and once tried to organise a night out. Just drinking and a proper social for guys. I mean, it’s a quick way for a verification for anyone who is new or struggling to be verified. But, you might get on with a few in here and have a blast over a drink.

So, would many men do this or are you only her for the ‘sexy sex stuff’ and socialising with women?

No interest in socialising with men outside of organised group socials.

I would like that but I just can’t do those situations, I really struggle in the company of groups of strangers. When it comes to fight or flight, I’m like red bull, the wings take me away.

When I’m next leaving London, if there’s anyone I get on with from here I’d invite them for a drink. Or if anyone in London fancied a drink I’d be down.

I've often though this myself OP why is there no only fools and horse style jolly boys outing sort of social with out the getting pissed bit

Personally I think a lot of the guys on here view offer guys as the competition so don't want to associate on them grounds .

A few years ago when this question was asked elsewhere I said I would be happy to go to one of these socials. Not for verifications but just as a way of meeting new people.

I've changed my mind since though meeting a few guys at mixed group socials when there was a lot of point scoring going on.

Some guys had no interest in talking about anything outside of fab and it was all very competitive with a few very experienced guys mocking those of us who hadn't experienced as much as they had.

I'll stick to the sexy sex stuff from now on

The last social I was at where there was a few lads, present, (but no cake!! ) I spoke to one about how United were struggling under Ol’e and a bit of football back and forth. Another we talked about what he did for work.

I wasn’t there long enough but the vibe I had wasn’t about competitive scoring.

I suppose it’s really who you meet, sorry you had a bad impression put on you op. Hopefully the future is brighter

I'm in no competition with anyone I'm 51 years old comfortable in my skin and mostly I just want to have a bloody good laugh ,as life is way to short at my age to fuck around comparing yourself or competing against to others in my opinion .

The lads doing the points scoring had actually organised the walking group that we were all meeting through. In the chatgroups it was obvious that they were using their admin status to chat to the women and avoid the lads but when we were out on the walks they were very much sizing up the opposition.

I think it's a good idea to be fair. I couldn't give a shit about the wankspangles that think we're all in competition witheach other. I'm confident in my own skin, enjoy the soical aspect of Fab and think it would be a good idea to have lads days out.

I chat to a guy that was on here and we still talk about meeting up for a pint. Nothing in it other than we’d get on as friends.

I’d consider meeting up with a potential play partner for C as in a threesome it’s important for the two guys to get along.

I met up with a guy when we advertised for a last min meet…we had a drink and chat whilst C was in the hotel getting ready. I wanted to ensure he was on the same page and that he looked like his pics - I messaged C and told her he was a good guy, spoke Italian and she gave me the green light…

I’ve been to a lot of socials (Scotland and Manchester) and a lot of pre-club-drink socials and I always talk to guys as well as women. I can honestly say I’ve never met a “competitor” or a witnessed a point scorer. Maybe I’m naive and don’t see it but anyone that’s met me will probably tell I’m laid back enough not to care for such things.

As to a male only social. Not that bothered as I prefer the company of women more than men. Or a mix. So I’ll stick to regular socials.

So it was a bad choice of social then, really?

I meet up with folk socially on a regularly basis. Men and women from on here & we always have a great laugh. Deffo no point scoring or one upmanship. It's a shame you're not over here, or I'd invite you to the one. X

I would, I’ve chatted to a few guys from here at group socials and clubs never felt any point scoring or competition, most are decent & mature.
