Just curious as to whether anyone has had it and if they feel it works. Fed up with suffering through summer.

I had it a couple of years in a row when I was a teenager as I suffered terribly including on my school exam year. It was like having the flu for 4-5 months.

The injection worked! It was a life saver. Xx

I had injections when I was in my early teens. Part of a clinical trail. These were stopped due to side effects by some. I never and someone else who was on same trail never had any side effects. Not sure if correct that these injections have to be paid for ? . Cannot be prescribed under a prescription from doctor. ?

Yes. My daughter swears by it. Think it’s about £70.

How do you go about getting it ? Private clinic?

Depending on severity of symptoms you can be referred by your GP to have it on the NHS but it's done on a case by case basis.

?

I had it once when I was a teenager and it worked. Probably coincidence, but my hayfever hasn't been anywhere near as bad since I had it.

My GP won't give it to me, he says it is not right for me.

Some pharmacies do it now as my sister had it done in her local one but not how widely available this is.

NHS stopped offering it in 2019 saying the risks outweighed the benefits. So now you have to go private for it at a cost of around £80.
