Haha no not the reason I kicked him out, although I did that morning and went back to sleep.

I remember that I was working a night shift.

I Came on the radio she had been in an accident n she was OK.

Then a bit later it said she had broken her arm.

Then a bit later said she had been admitted to hospital.

By the time I had finished the shift at 6am it had been announced she had died.

Pretty fucked up reporting, going from she was OK to a few hours later dead.

I went to the local newsagents on the Sunday morning and the customer in front of me was talking about how sad it was that Diana had died. I thought she was talking about one of her neighbours one of those never to be forgotten moments in your life. 9/11 was a similar experience.

I had a residency DJ gig on Saturdays in a big student type bar in SE London. We were in a taxi home for a back to mine. The minute we heard the news on the radio my Co DJ quipped "when is Princess Diana not Princess Diana? When she's Diana (dyin inna) car crash". Terrible joke but it was pretty quick considering the state of us at that hour.

Conversely my mum was in floods of tears.
