Hybrid

Here is a very serious thread amongst all the daft ones. Please give it your serious consideration and contribution.

I am creating a hybrid creature to challenge man as the Earth's dominant species. Mainly because I want to see a bit of a shake-up but also because I have a lurgee and am slightly delirious.

Due to my chemistry and bilogy skills being a little rusty, I can only accept suggestions for up to a three-animal cocktail.

I started with this combo: A fox for cunningness/audacity, a dolphin for overall intelligence/capability at sea and a polar bear for strength/murderous instinct. The problem with it came when the polar bear element got peckish and attacked the dolphin element. Strictly speaking is was a murder/suicide.

SENSIBLE suggestions only please.....

I’m sure that’s already been done on Scooby Doo…. And he would have got away with it too, if it weren’t for those darn pesky kids

Right, I've had dinner and given this virtually no thought Sorry Whacky!

Opposable thumbs are essential. Texting is really difficult without them. Most of the Earth is water so being comfortable in water is important. Speed and flight would also be good. It would also be handy to have lots of hands for multitasking.

So, chimp, octopus, eagle.

Could we have a cat head - cos they look cute, a horses body cos they are sleek, shiny and strong and a hippos legs cos they can swim too

Great white for being the ultimate predator. Peregrine falcon for being the fastest animal on the planet. And a Kaola bear for cuteness.

Oh bum, I might have misunderstood the concept of this ............ maybe the cat head will have to go and have a dragons head instead - a proper one that breathes fire of course

I am a little concerned about both of you. Minxie has been poorly for five weeks. You have been poorly for ? (well, whatever it is you are a man and it's bound to feel like ages). You're overthinking it.

Look at the Duckbilled Platypus. Need I say anymore?

I have to really think about this - I've got to create it in the laboratory of my dark and menacing castle

Bloody smashing idea. My slight concern is that if it goes a bit mad, it will wipe out the human race so we'll not be about to enjoy a tasty roast.
