I HAVE to lie about my age.

I look ridiculously young and people are either shocked or horrified or both and disbelief.

I thought even taking twenty years off was ok and able to do.

So one of my favourite old girls says to me today...

I had no idea you were so old!

WTF? Is that a compliment?

Yup. I constantly get told I don't look my age. I'd much rather be fifty, looking thirty, than the other way around

same boat here OP.. i look like a teenager still, to the point a workman knocked on the other day and asked if my parents were home!!

although i guess when im older i'll be grateful... unless old age hits with a bang and suddenly im the old woman from Titanic Px

I take it as a compliment. Everyone I meet thinks I'm 18 to early 20s so they are gobsmacked when I say 30. I'll be grateful of it when I'm 40

Well when you look young, you also get hit with lack of respect, not taking seriously and constantly told 'when you a bit older' or 'when you get to my age' and I'm older than most preaching to me!

Allways been asked if I'm sure I'm my age my whole life! When 35 asked if I was 16 to buy ciggies back in the day u could buy them at 16! When first married is your mum or dad there? And now I'm going to b a great nanny and have a 48 year old daughter and 29 year old granddaughter! X

It is, i quite often get mistaken for younger, they are usually like “no way” when i disclose, tho given my sense of humour people could just be assuming im a numpty :p

What I think is so hilarious is I've got guys n gals hitting on me and sometimes right in front of the missus. When I dress up, I expect it from the blokes but more surprised it happens when I don't.
