Aww that is so cute.

Mine was when I was about 4, I asked for a train set for Christmas. My dad said no because I was a little girl but on Christmas morning, I got my train set. Think I still have it somewhere x

Playing golf with my grandad. I wasn’t really that good but I just enjoyed spending the time with him. I stopped when I became a moody teenager but I wish I’d played one more time before he died

My birthday party when I was 5 or 6, held in the massive garden we had at the time - so many good hiding places for hide and seek. I wore a dress that I must have worn almost every day that summer and refused to take off.

My grandad had those as well but he had a cheaper set he’d let us play with. Mostly in grass not indoors though

In the west.

I can remember being in the back garden on Saturday afternoons. I could hear the cheers and groans from the supporters at the football ground about 3 miles away. We didn't really have noise pollution way back then.

here & there

I was visiting my aunt & uncles around Christmas time, sat on the window sill watching the snow come down when out of nowhere the big man Santa appears up the drive way, I almost pissed my pants as the most excited 5 year old in the world started screaming that he was coming to house.

While my uncle was in his final days we talked about that memory and his grin while recanting his side of being Santa & seeing my face light up was also one of his highlights.

Somewhere near here

Coming downstairs after going to bed to talk to my dad. I waited until I heard my mum snoring then I’d sneak downstairs for a drink. I’d then just chat away with dad. I miss those long chats, they very rarely happen now. We’d have really in-depth conversation about life
