OK, some folks will remember the football pools... And the results being read out every Saturday afternoon...

Did anyone actually ever win anything on them? Or was it just a massive scam.

Our syndicate won £16,000 - we got £450 each and considering I was earning YTS money at the time (£27.50) I was very rich!

I used to work for Littlewoods Pools also and I used to check the Spot the Ball. Now that was virtually impossible to win as the dot had vto be dead centre of the ball…I’d be hungover checking them so likelihood is I skipped past a few close ones

We won just over £146 k between 18 of us back in the early 90s, apparently we were half a point from £2.2 million..

Then again half a point less and it would have been a lot less so grateful for the luck..
