You remember the days when your gran told you a story that you had heard a few times but you still sat there and listened even though you had heard it a few times already .

I still get that with my Father in Law now.. exactly the same stories every time. I indulge them as he enjoys telling them, and I’ll miss it when he’s not around to repeat the same old tales over and over.

I miss hearing those stories. But I also miss the random new things my grandma would come out with. Like the time she told me she had a thing for Lee Mack. She liked his intelligence. And he was "a bit of alright". If only she'd been 40 years younger. Still makes me laugh

My Dad is doing this. I listen because he can't help it. Weirdly Grandma didn't really do it, despite having dementia. She mainly saw things that weren't there and people who were long dead.

Most definitely she was never mean or cruel about people intentionally she just said it like it was.

I remember her saying something one time and I was like you can't say that. She was like I suppose I'm lucky I could be like the two neighbours next door, ones loosing her marbles the other breaks something everytime she falls.

I howled and was like you can't say that.

She just replied but it's true, she wasn't saying it in a cruel way just here delivery l.
