Same thing I posted on a thread like this last time, only because it reared its head again yesterday.

People moaning they have no money, sat on their fat ass claiming benefits when they are perfectly capable of getting a job and being significantly better off.

Then asking me for money to pay for stuff.

Go get a fucking job and if you're still struggling then I'll consider helping.

Monumnetal fuckwittery.

By that I mean people who see a sign that in some shape or form say's "Don't do this or you'll die" in big fuck off red letters and then do it - only to be surprised when they either die or are permanently disabled.

Or people who believe absolute bullshit posted on social media that a 5 year old would know is factually incorrect, who not only think it's true but share it with other massive fuckwits, creating a snowball effect, adding perceived truth to complete bollocks. And of course the people that create those kind of posts and memes in the first place knowing the effect they'll have.

Racists. No explanation needed.

Child/domestic abusers. Again - hopefully no need to explain.

People who vote for people that lie to them and then act surprised when reality kicks in.

People who park on double yellow lines outside schools during the school run who get their wing mirrors knocked off and car doors scratched/dented by passing traffic.

I often find when I know more detail about somebody's situation I tend to find more empathy for them as I can understand their motivation (or lack of) a bit better.

That said, I guess I struggle a bit with people who are procrastinating between doing/ not doing something (understandable) and never making that decision but rather making themselves a victim of it (not quite so understandable)

Actually it’s those that don’t appreciate the above I have the issues with. Unfortunately I’ve been around quite a few throughout my life. The decent ones are aware of their privilege, the worst believe they are entitled to it.

Obviously the Child abusers etc…go without saying, throw that lot in a dark hole.

According to the ONS about 40% of UC claimants are in work. Not the majority, but that figure doesn't take into account separate legacy benefits such as housing benefit, tax credits etc, so the figure may well be over 50%

I don't start with zero sympathy but I do run out of sympathy when people moan continuously about a situation for months and months on end yet don't do anything to change it. Nothing will happen to make a bad situation better if you do nothing about it. Obviously there are some exceptions such as if a person had a terminal illness but a lot of situations can improve if you're willing to make changes and decisions.

Why would it be frustrating? If they don’t seek advice (from “us”) then it is none of our business. If they do seek advice and don’t heed it then good luck to them. Should be no skin off “our” nose should it? If they crash and burn that’s on them. Just give them a wide berth. Not sure why the actions if others should cause frustration unless they are dependants and are increasing their dependency through their own inaction.

"The super-rich who complain about paying taxes."

I wonder how much less tax we would all need to pay if we cut the welfare system and the NHS. Make everyone support themselves with what they earn, like the "super-rich" do with paying for their own healthcare, children's education, etc. That would be awful and yet most countries of the World don't have a welfare system anywhere close to ours and no free healthcare except for the destitute, if at all.

The 'poor' can complain but the "super-rich" must just be happy with their lot and shut up. Seems a little unfair.

I've given them money in the past but now refuse to as it is not incentivising them to help themselves when they are perfectly capable.

"People who abuse animals, Labour voters, paedos, r*pists, clowns. In that order.

Are you really 31?

Why, what's my age got to do with you?

Probably more your labour voters comment. Can’t say that on here!!

You can say what you want but don’t put a Labour supporter in the same category as child sex offenders.

There aren’t categories. The question was what do you have no sympathy for. "

"Same thing I posted on a thread like this last time, only because it reared its head again yesterday.

People moaning they have no money, sat on their fat ass claiming benefits when they are perfectly capable of getting a job and being significantly better off.

Then asking me for money to pay for stuff.

Go get a fucking job and if you're still struggling then I'll consider helping.

Wow that’s offensive

And you think it is not offensive to ask for free stuff when you’re capable of supporting yourself?

^^this.

I've given them money in the past but now refuse to as it is not incentivising them to help themselves when they are perfectly capable.

I make sure the kids are fed when I see them and have the stuff they need as it's not their fault their parent is a lazy shit bag, but not giving the parent any money ever again."

That’s fair enough if they can’t afford to pay you back, but you know some people cannot work due to health issues. Another fair issue is that these people are probably better off than those on UC/Job Seekers, and also some people who do actually work

I don't find it offensive, it's actually bang on the truth regarding some people. Same as people complaining they can't afford heating and use food banks yet they have the latest smartphone.

If I had a goat, it’d be a pet actually I’d have a few so they could have company… love goats and always wanted one. But living in a clowncil house doesn’t allow for one.

Please read my posts again, it's a specific instance where there are no health issues, they are fully capable of holding down a full time job.

I'm well aware of the challenge those with disabilities/illness face, I have a grown up disabled child myself who rightly claims benefits.

Are forums not intended for debate? Blogs are usually the place for knee way discussion. Challenging an opinion ti better understand a different perspective is entirely different from giving a shit if the other party changes theirs.

You can claim some benefits U/C child tax benefit, even £5 a week if you are on low wages. £245 a eek is not a lot to live on and pay all the bills. Just keep the DWP in the loop and be honest there shouldn't be a problem. Working full time and lying, now that's different.
