Central Scotland

I've done my fair share, mainly the north west of Scotland, but also the Cairngorms. Many morning and evening vistas to die for but then you've got to time it right to beat the plague of midges

One of my next wild camps was the summit of Cadair Idris on NYE. It was freezing winds, thick snow & minus 16 at the top but there’s a stone bothy to keep the wind off. Sunset, Moon and Sunrise were amazing

North Bucks

I follow East Anglian Bushcraft and Wild Beare YouTube channels for inspiration in the UK and also Steve Wallis in Canada for just interest.

When I’m in the Office I live vicariously through them until I can get out and about.

Have a couple of woodland spots near me I can set out on foot to go to when I need some peace. Never bumped into a soul or been disturbed at night.

There are two fb groups called wild camping U.K. , one with lower case uk that has strict rules about fires and one more relaxed. A few of us post there regularly , we try to do one a month all year round , have also done urban wild camps on large roundabouts, and attempted to build igloos …. Badly

Never camped and never will, i'm not keen on it , i like a hotel for a proper shower and toilet and my clothes hung up properly.

plus i like to wash my hair daily and dry/straighten it.

i'm just not camp at all.

The field in front of my house. You will wake up to an amazing sunrise. I can wild camp anytime I want to but I prefer the comfort of my bed and open the curtains and see the amazing sunrise.

Lincolnshire

I’ve wild camped in many places and each one has been completely unique.

The lakes, North Wales, The Yorkshire Dales.

I camped at Malham at NYE a couple of years back and I took a pic of the first sunrise of the year overlooking the tarn.

It’s on my bedroom wall as a reminder and one of my favourite pics.

Why stay in a 5 star hotel when you can sleep under a million stars…

I have the same being in the countryside (check out my jucuzzi pic) however i love a adventure once in a while, away from technology, people, home comforts i find it such a cleanser of the mind

Whilst I love the sound of this I wouldn’t want to go alone (as in just me - I don’t have a tent for a start! ) and I’m definitely a fair weather camper.

If any hotties out there with a great line in humour/conversation don’t mind an old fart tagging along on June - August - hit me up!

Apparently I’m a half decent shag - apparently - so at least I’ll bring SOMETHING to the table!

It’s amazing isn’t it. I took a 4WD north out of Perth all the way up the west coast, through the pinnacles desert, gib river road, bungle bugles and all the way round to Darwin,,wild camping every single night.

Isn’t wild camping illegal in England?

It's our only option in the part of Brazil we live in.

We are lucky in that we have some lakes less than 30 minutes drive from where we live and we often go for the weekend. Depending on the mosquitos the night can be spent in hammocks.

For us there is nothing better than waking up to go fishing in the lake and cooking the catch on the bbq for lunch.

No, some private land the owners can ask you to move on, fires on the ground ect arnt really favoured but ive never had a issue myself, i always clear up aftermyself and dont damage anything. In all honesty i tend to hike 10+ miles from anywhere so rarely see a soul

T’s idea of bliss especially if near water. I can’t camp without electric due to medical equipment
