....do you type out a response to a forum thread or comment and then delete it and bang your head against the wall (either physically or mentally) instead?

If I spend around an hour on the forums I’ll do it at least 6 times. Usually because it’ll offend someone looking to be offended or because it doesn’t really add anything to the conversation.

Yes x 100.

Keep having to remind myself that the forum ban isn't worth it.

Hmm, it certainly happens pretty regularly, mostly on the threads where everyone is just posting an answer and there’s no interaction, it feels like no one bothers reading anyone else’s responses anyway so you’re just shouting into the void.

Lots, sometimes it's because I can't express my self clearly and concisely, other times it because I can't be arsed with the grief it will cause and occasionally because I know that what I am typing will make me look a complete twat.

More and more just lately. Some folk appear to be perpetually offended, or hair triggered. I can’t be arsed to have to explain myself to these people when they ‘kick off’.

When you're next on the naught step let me know, I'm sure we could find a way to make it fun.

Many times. Usually happens when I'm really horny. I'll get a few sentences in and think, nope.

Like they say don't go shopping when you're hungry, I shouldn't be on the forums until I've sorted myself out or V has done it.

I would have to say quite often, I prefer more to lurk and read I’ve found in my time being on here it’s better to be more reserved and only post here and there even though sometimes I really want to discuss topics with people..

Plus a lot off times there are a lot off people who get so easily bent out off shape or overly sensitive on here so I find to avoid a lynch mob/witch hunt crowd or to avoid the wrath off moderators that sometimes it’s better just not to say anything..

Truth is I’d be more often up front and blunt with people and probably just tell some one straight up to fuck off and eat shit if I found them irritating or describe them to be like a turd that doesn’t flush away so I’d come out with more shall we say harsh or colourful remarks but.....

I’ll just leave it at that and say some things are best left unsaid

For all the threads I respond to (or blurt out a one lined response / quip / or flirty comment.) I must also delete another half dozen simply because I can’t be assed, and I know inwont get a response. Just green arrow me and see how many responses I get in threads.

In fact, I believe that to be the case for 9/10 posters on the forum.

Or, there’s ones I delete to avoid a ban.

I do this the majority of the time. Hence why I mainly reply to basic question threads where I can give one word answers.

Haha so many times. I have some opinions that could be seen by some as controversial as there are far too many people that would take offence, or get argumentative, or refuse to accept that people are allowed to have a difference of opinions. It's just not worth it. Some people have neither the knowledge or inclination to accept that it's ok for people to speak out and stand by their opinions. A lot of people are like sheep and follow the crowd, I refuse to be a sheep so often I 'think plenty and say nowt'.

Mate… you have been here long enough to know only every third word is listened to!

And anyway, you know you can only help so much to teach “dumb”

Yes, i definitely do this too. I dont post on threads very often, and have only started 2. I got some unpleasant comments and messages so i now super overthink everything before i post, could anything be taken the wrong way. And yes, that has included this post. X
