Gentlemën, Lådies, Binarïes and Whateveries...indulge me for one epicurean moment:

For those who enjoy teasing their palates with morsels from the Orient, do you prefer Thai or Chinese?

Recently I overhead someone remark that "once you've had Thai you never go back to Chinese".

We're talking about food here. This is not about Sino-British relationships.

I'm not a huge fan of Thai food. I would always choose Chinese over Thai.

Fragrant or flagrant sounds like the Jeffrey Archer court case involving his wife Mary and the sex worker Monica Coghlan.

The judge said that as his wife was so fragrant he had no need to pay a sex worker

In London there's certainly a fair amount of good Thai eateries.

This is why I love you KC² and have no compunction for saying it on a public forum.

Mind you if you had opted for Chinese it would have been fire and brimstone and I would kick 'yo ass'

Now get back to your embroidery.

If the Thai is "mediocre" and the Chinese is "good" then logic would certainly dictate that.

Chinese. Particularly Szechaun food. Theres not a lot of good thai food local to us, but given the choice of any east asian food I’d always opt for Korean or Japanese

I've only had a few Thais but in general it seems heavily based on coconut or fish, neither of which I'm a big fan of, so because of that I have to go with Chinese as there is a larger selection I like.
