Say you’re in if you suffer from hay fever and hopefully you’ll get lots of sexy emails from the hundreds of snotty nose and itchy runny red eye fans out there in Fabland.

I’m in!

Don’t forget the OP!

Suffering here although it's calmed down a bit today thankfully. I like the weather but could do without blowing my nose eleven billion times a day

My empathy and sympathy with all those suffering. I tend to suffer first thing in the morning then by about 10am I’m ok again at the moment. Hopefully it’ll pass in a week or two when a different kind of pollen takes over, I’m normally ok with hay fever tbf

I suffer various extreme reactions, from being unable to breathe at night which causes sleepless nights, to eyes that stream while I’m asleep and ‘glue’ then shut. Leaving me unable to open them upon waking. Roll on the autumn. F’K summer!

It seems to be affecting me differently this year.

My eyes aren't so sticky and hot but my throat and lower sinuses are driving me mad.

I used to get that in Leysdown when we went to our chalet there. I think it was allergic conjunctivitis.

I think my main culprit is nettles. They affect my dog too.

It's so good that we can wear face masks outdoors now, without getting nasty comments from other people all the time.

In the middle

As an asthmatic I get extra wheezy about now, all that wind swirling the new pollens around, waking up feeling like I’ve got a cold every morning, I’m lucky that I don’t get red eyed, just itchy throat and nasal passages and bunged up sinuses

I was talking to a couple of people who have it and they say it's a game changer. My eldest really suffers, the over the counter stuff doesn't help at all and he's rubbish at going to the doctors!

Letchworth

I was in! Used to suffer terribly when I was younger but as the years rattle on it has eased off a lot. Only advise I can give is, if it is unbearable get a wet flannel and lie down with it over your face for 1/2 hour. This just used to calm me down. Good luck ??

I absolutely HATE pollen and hay fever season! Pollen is my worst asthma trigger and usually by the time June comes around I’ve already had three rescue packs of steroids to deal with it.

I use those antihistamines as well they are brilliant and the only ones that have ever worked for me .I suffer from hayfever and allergic rhinitis and they stop all the effects of both.

They reckon if you get honey from local bees and eat a small amount everyday it builds up your immune system.

"Does anyone have the yearly injection that's available privately?"

Only just read this . As a hay fever sufferer . I had weekly injections from January to March for several years. Yes they worked for me. Then they were stopped . This due to bad side effects others had. I never had any . ( I was part of long clinical trial ) .

Not heard of yearly injection though ?

According to research if a person has been exposed to tobacco smoke in childhood, there is a higher probability of going on to suffer with hay fever and/or other sinus issues. It relates to damage to sinus layers/membranes...
